Piccies of my old Red Mini... Oh, how I miss him!
He's a 1968 Mk II Mini, when I got him, he's already been converted into a recessed door handle a la contemporary car with windup windows, though still retaining his outer door hinges. Bought in 1997, he's my first Mini and the car I learn to drive in. We've been thru flood, crash, break downs, and many other things. We parted with him on 2005, so he's been with me for almost ten years. During my time, he's been treated with a new engine, new doors and boot from a 90s Mini, and got his original steel-wheel with chrome hub-caps and also a new grille, bumpers, headlights, side indicators, brake servo, 7.5" discbrake for 10" wheels, two paintjobs, rear subframe, rear lights, trims and seat covers, and many other things...
It seems the old Rover advert was right, "You'll Never Forget Your First Mini..."
I sure didn't!

Well, even though i never knew him at all, looking at the pictures made me miss him too, like the brother i never had. Let's just hope he's in good hands now and looking forward to seeing him in the near future. What a truely beautiful Mini. At least I got his boot.
